Hans Schmitzel is said to be highly rated by Daniel Levy. Is it only a matter of time?
The 31-year-old midfielder of Hansa Rostock is, reportedly, the number one target in Daniel Levy’s chase for a creative midfielder.
Hailing originally from the unfortunately-named town of Kuntzow, Schmitzel has never been capped for Germany- but he did play briefly in the German second-tier for FC Kaiserslautern, coming on as a substitute after Janköw Fuchsel was struck by lightning in a freak accident.

Various sources suggest that Levy has offered a swap deal to the Rostock club, with Moussa Sissoko said to be in the fray, and, as per the Football World Podcast: “Schmitzel will 90% be a Spurs player next season.”
